I wanted to take a moment to express just a bit of thanks for some of the blessings we have received.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
I hope each of you understands the rich gifts we have been allowed to take advantage of. First to Pastor, Lance & the praise team. They have done yeoman’s work in bringing together all of the various pieces to develop our virtual worship services. Not all churches have the talent or the ability to make services like this happen. Steve Maier has been the technical genius to make it all happen.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Also thanks for lance for keeping the office going. It is truly the nerve center of the congregation. any prayers or needs you may have please reach out to the office. Please be assured Pastor is available via phone calls (616) 443-9053, Text messages, emails (revbob) He will be happy to talk with you, pray, share concerns and assist with pastoral care anytime day or night. If you know of anyone in need at this time or in the future, please contact me so we can arrange for aid and support. If Pastor not available please call our church head elder, Jen Barnes (585) 261-7603. Thank you!
A brief reminder that we are approaching holy week, and we will continue streaming services on Facebook, www.facebook.com/pumpkinhook, We will not have worship on Wednesday, but rather Maundy Thursday @ 7 pm and Good Friday @ 7 pm, Easter Sunday, the holiest of Sundays, we will stream at 11 am.
while you are on Facebook, please like, share, comment on the group. every action you complete builds our audience and spreads the word of God
Lastly, remember St Johns in your prayers and offerings. If you are not set up for EFT giving now is a great time, or contact your bank and set up St Johns for regular bill pay or send your envelopes to the church office. Every gift is needed these days to make sure our musisions and our pastor continued to get paid as they are continuing Gods work.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”
Peace be with you
