June News

The school year has flown by! The closing ceremony for the 3’s was on Thursday, May 24th.The 4’s/Multiage class celebrated on Wednesday, May 30th.

May was a busy month. Our 3’s hosted a fabulous Mother’s Day Tea for their moms, grandmothers and friends. Our 4’s took a ride on a Victor school bus, learned about bus safety and toured the Victor Early Childhood Education Center. They also had a Teddy Bear Picnic and went on a field trip to Farmington Fire Station #1.

As I reflect back on this year, I realize how blessed I am to work with  the people on our preschool team. Cheryl Power is an amazingly dedicated teacher. She brings so much energy and expertise to the classroom every single day…and does it all with a smile. Tari Orsburn has just completed her first year as Lead Teacher of the 3’s class, but it seems like she’s been with us forever. She is so talented and creative!  What a great addition to our team! Mary Zuege continues to be our “go to” person for Science lesson ideas. She also steps in at a moment’s notice to lend a helping hand in any way we might need her. Also, Pastor Bob continues to support with daily greetings, twice monthly Chapel Times and support at special events.  Paulette Kuehnert keeps our budget in the black! Lance Eckler supports us throughout the school day in ways too numerous to count!

And lastly, thank you to the people of St. John’s for the many ways you support our school. Most recently, we requested donations for some specific new items to enhance our students’ play experience. Your response was overwhelming. Due to your generosity, we will be able to purchase most of the items on our Wish List. Our children will have new tricycles, scooters and dolls here to greet them in September. What a blessing!
