It is with great sadness to share with you all that Azelee Bastian passed away last week on the 23rd of May. A celebration of her life begins with visiting hours this Wednesday the 30th from 2-8PM at Murphy Funeral Home in Macedon. Her funeral will be the following day on Thursday, May 31st at 11AM at St. John ’s. A reception will follow the funeral. Please keep Azelee’s family and friends in your prayers, thank you.
Azelee G. Bugbee Bastian CANANDAIGUA/MACEDON – Azelee Gwen Bugbee Bastian passed away peacefully on May 23, 2018. She was born on Feb. 5, 1919. in Canandaigua to Glenn and Gertrude (Fallon) Bugbee. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Bastian Sr.; sisters, Marie (Robert) Miller and Corinne (John) Sutton; brothers, Earl (Eugenie) Bugbee, Lynn (Arlene) Bugbee, Glenn (Rosemary) Bugbee, Roy (Ann) Bugbee and Elmer Bugbee; and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Bugbee. Azelee is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Vincent) Burke; sons, Glenn (Sandra) Bastian, Edward (Carol) Bastian Jr. and Ronald (Kim) Bastian; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, James Bugbee; sister-in-law, Ann Bugbee; and several nieces and nephews. Azelee was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pumpkin Hook and was active with St. John’s Ladies Aid, Macedon Chamber of Commerce and Macedon Center Ladies Auxiliary. She was a lifetime member of the New York State Parent Teacher’s Association. Azelee was a past president of Pal-Mac PTA. She also served her community as a deputy town clerk and GOP committeewoman for the Town of Macedon and Wayne County. Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, May 30, from 2 until 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 Route 31, Macedon. A service to celebrate the life of Azelee will be offered on Thursday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 153 Church Ave., Farmington (Pumpkin Hook). Interment will follow in Macedon Village Cemetery. Memorials for Azelee may be directed to the church or Macedon Center Fire Department, 2481 Canandaigua Road, Macedon, NY 14502.
